Nancy

Nancy

It is a village of beauty and green
and amusements are in plenty,
there lives a youth, insane to many,
Helping others to fetch water
when it was hot and dry...

Homeless Manilal was he,
an orphan living under the trees,
a good chap to help all
in his insane way
and often shared a small meal

He fell in love with Nancy
the only daughter of devil Prachi,
Their love grew day by day
as crops in green fields,
but one day there was fire
the news fell in the suspecting ears of Nancy's dad

One night when Manilal
was in dreams under a tree,
cruel Prachi, Nancy's dad,
set fire on him...

In a fraction of a second
Manilal and his dreams were in flames,
Nancy rushed in to embrace her love
and both turned to ashes,
love has no regrets - people
to this date say,
there were glimmers of joy
on both the faces...
